SharePlay, the first of the first time in WWDC, is a real-time screensharing, released into the iOS app and allows you to watch movies, live games, listen to music or use FaceTime to communicate with your friends and family. The feature SharePlay is able to join the Disney+ catalogue, and includes Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic. A new Hawkeye, Welcome to Earth and new Disney-only productions like Encanto and The Book of Boba Fett would also be streamable on SharePlay. To access this feature, make sure you and everyone you intend to sharePlay with are running iOS 15.1, tvOS 15.1, or iPad 15.1 or more. You would also need to run the latest Disney+ app with an active subscription. SharePlay can accommodate up to 32 people to watch Disney+ together, with playback control available for everyone. Every participant can also select their choice between audio and subtitle. With that being said, it is important to note that all participants must have an active Disney+ subscription. A Disney+ subscription costs one thousand dollars per month. Find out what’s happening to Disney in December. Learn more about SharePlay here.
