Call of Duty: Vanguard has taken off and fans will find new weapons that would come in the new category of the World War II. But the new guns aren’t just able to work in the Vanguards Multiplayer, they also have to fit into the Warzone Pacific, as they are integrated into Season 1. The developer working on Vanguard explained how the WWII weapons will be balanced before they drop into Caldera. Sledgehammer has introduced 38 new weapons to Vanguard and led Designer Zach Hodson told Dexerto how they took Warzone into account. He said that every gun was intended to be designed for Vanguard. However, the team have kept separate balance sheets to check how things might work in Warzone.

The dev explained that because the earliest weapon is in WWII, its main meaning is that the weapons should work with the theme, but this can’t be translated to Warzone when you consider the number of modern weapons already in the game. One bit of insight is that [Vanguard] guns have more recoil than you’ll have seen in previous CoD games, he continued. So there is a slight adaptation that needs to be done on the Warzone side, but if it doesn’t stop the guns, it has got to be improved to a similar way to what was done on the same day with the Cold War and Modern War.

Warzone already has over 100 weapons to pick from the last three winners of the CoD series, and Vanguard will only expand the roster. Well wait until after Warzone Pacifics launch, how in order to see how else the team makes old-fashioned guns competitive against modern equipment.
