Is SMT 5 coming to the Xbox One or the PC?
During the official unveiling of Shin Megami Tensei V, the Nintendo Switch first announced in January 2017. Shin Megami Tensei V hasn’t been announced on PC, PS4, Xbox One, or any other platform since then, and is a Nintendo Switch exclusive. The status as a switch with a limited use of SMT V is even more appreciated as it was one of the first games, announced by Switch, before the consoles commenced in March 2017. Nintendo Switch is the only console you can play SMT V now.

However, it’ll be possible to announce the future version of the PC port of SMT V. SMT V is the first game that reaches the top of Atlus’s screen. It’s been getting increasingly long. Most of all with the release of Persona 5 Strikers on Steam. Atlus is used to releasing new versions of their games. Most of the time adding a new female character, voiced by a popular seyuu, and who could add interesting elements to the story or not. On Reddit a new GeForce PC leak was shared, then was spotted by RPG site. It lists Shin Megami Tensei V for a PC release on February 1, 2022, the most frequently cited reason. It’s extremely unlikely that this is a real release date and more of a placeholder date. The list itself is quite suspicious with the list below listed highly doubtful projects such as Final Fantasy IX Remake. However, it’s possible that the list uses remaster and remake interchangeably. De plus, the list contains a lot of credible projects of remasters or ports for Tactics Ogre, Final Fantasy Tactics or Chrono Cross. Shin Megami Tensei V is likely to release on the PC too soon, with a revised version containing all the DLC and the new content. Probably one year after the Switch release, its ingenious.
